Position Description:
 
Development and deployment of D-Wave's quantum annealing technology poses many unique requirements on system and network infrastructure, and these requirements continue to evolve as the scale of the enterprise grows.  You will work alongside our physicists, software and hardware engineers, and D-Wave's IT team to support development and enterprise activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Support, troubleshoot and optimize the performance of enterprise and development computing systems
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of our production and enterprise network infrastructure
  • Maintain and develop existing Enterprise IT services such as: AD/LDAP, Centrify, RSA, Outlook365 etc.
  • Help define, implement, maintain and monitor hardware, services, security and network devices
  • Write scripts and software as needed in support of automating various systems administration tasks
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
  • Provide tier 2 support for Internal and external customers.
 Qualifications:
  • Education: A degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience administering & optimizing performance of Linux based servers
  • Experience with UNIX scripting languages and environments, e.g. Perl, Bash
  • Familiarity with Linux based backup, recovery and remote storage systems; NetApp or EMC preferred
  • Familiarity with Virtualization, e.g. VMWare or equivalent
  • Cisco network certification CCNA level or with equivalent experience
  • Willing to synthesize requirements from a diverse set of stakeholders, seek out answers and escalate when necessary
  • The flexibility to work the occasional evening and weekend, if required.
