D-Wave’s core focus is the development of superconducting processors capable of running adiabatic quantum algorithms for solving quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO) problems. QUBO is a well-known NP-hard optimization problem. Many important scientific and commercial problems require the solution of QUBOs.
